    LIFE LIBERTY & LEVIN:
Fox News host Mark Levin reflects on President Biden's alleged connections to segregationists on 'Life, Liberty & Levin.'

    KRAPOPOLIS:
"Olive Oil Crisis". Deliria loses her memory when she and Stupendous
transform into geese. Tyrannis tasks Shlub with procuring olive oil for Krapopolis.
Luckily, Shlub's only sex joke about the olive oil was about "dipping his bread". I should have known Delira's amnesia would the result of a bonk on
the head, but I didn't mind. What a great solution for distracting people
    from hating Tyrannis!

I got through more grading yesterday (as predicted, it will take me
until today to finish the second exam...), but still managed to watch
more TV than I was expecting to:

    soaps: Fri's ep's.
GH - Sonny goes to Dante, to basically imply that Dante shouldn't
"trust" Dex (IOW, shouldn't allow him to become a cop); later, Dante
wonders to Sam if he shouldn't be a cop anymore (talk about an
overreaction!!). Carly goes to Sonny's to confront him, and after
swatting Ava away, confronts Sonny and tells him she won't allow their
daughter to come over anymore. She then becomes convinced that Sonny
"isn't taking his medication" with (a guilty!) Ava looking on. Josslyn discusses whether she should carry on her path to med school with Trina,
and later spies Dex and is clearly not over him.
DOOL - A drunk Leo spills the beans to EJ, but stupidly doesn't get
any extorted money out of it. EJ races over to confront Sloan, who
informs EJ that the baby isn't his!! Eric figures out that Leo has been blackmailing Sloan, and races over to confront him, but finds nothing
but a sad sack of drunk in Leo. Constantine manages to "activate" the
pawn to successfully steal the prenup out of Maggie's safe. Holly is all stressed out about school, and has to have Marlena calm her down.

golf - At the Byron Nelson in Dallas, Day 3 leader Jake Knapp kind of
fell apart on Day 4. This allowed Canuck Taylor Pendrith to vault into
the lead to win it. American Ben Kohles came in second. (As you can see,
none of the "big names" played this one apparently.)

My Life Is on the Line (Lifetime) - This was actually a pretty good
thriller. Unfortunately, the setting and background made it hard to
watch - the lead (Andrea Pazmino) is a hardscrabble loser, apparently in
the midst of divorce, who works at a bank call center. She has to meet
with a mediator (about custody of her son?), but her clueless,
unsympathetic (and useless - as she's not available when needed)
supervisor boss won't let her have the time off.
Of course, she also gets conned by a caller who doesn't have the
passcode for his "wife's account", but who claims she just had a medical emergency, and who needs to money "immediately" to pay the medical
bills. (It's the kind of story that, if you think about it for a second, doesn't make any sense!) Of course, the downbeat loser of a mom approves
the money transfer without supervisor's approval.
She fairly soon realizes that she's been conned when the real "wife"
on the account calls in to find out why her account has been frozen!
The rest of the flick is the woman trying to scramble to block the
transfer while the original caller starts to lean on her to complete the fraudulent transfer anyway.
Parts of this were a good thriller. But parts were hard to watch
because the main character has such a shitty life/job, which she will
likely lose when her mistake is made public.

Is this set in the present day? I just watched a movie with a somewhat
similar premise. But it was set in the past and one of the plot points
was they had to do the heist before the bank implemented certain
modernizations that would have made the heist impossible.

    What did you watch?

    I watched:

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (4K disc) 2011 reboot of the Planet of
the Apes series. Set in the present the movie follows James Franco's
character who develops what he hopes to be a cure for autism and tests
it on a chimp. The chimp then gives birth to "Caesar" (Andy Serkis)
that develops human level intellect and by the end of the movie the
ability to speak. Caesar uses Franco's drug to enhance the intelligence
of other apes and leads them on a revolt for their freedom. However the
drug has a deadly side effect on humans and becomes airborne virus. The
movie also makes several references to a spaceship that gets lost in space.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (4K disc) 2014 sequel which finds
humanity mostly wiped out by the same virus that gives apes enhanced intelligence. A surviving group of humans lead by Gary Oldman living in
San Francisco attempt to divert power from a damn, but to do so they
must get permission from "Caesar" (Andy Serkis) who rules over the apes.
Caesar is willing to let the humans work on their project but some
humans don't trust the apes and think of them as just animals to be slaughtered. Worse, one of the apes "Koba" (Toby Kebbell) hates the
humans and wants a war to wipe them out. Pretty good movie and better
    than the first one.

War for the Planet of the Apes (4K disc) 2017 sequel which picks up
where the last movie ended. A military group lead by Woody Harrelson is hunting Caesar and his apes for their actions in the last movie, but
Caesar's apes are pretty good at gorilla warfare. In the backdrop the
virus that wiped out most humans has mutated and is now turning people
into mindless mutes. I haven't watched this one since I saw it in the
theater. This one held up great and was the best of the three. It's a
rare franchise where each movie is better than the one before.

One annoyance and I've experienced this with some other movies too, is I watched with the commentary track and the commentary track is closed
captions so I can read the commentary while listening to full audio. I
love that! But most of the apes use sign language to talk, and when
they sign it's translated through closed captions. Most of the ape
signed dialogue is not translated when the director is talking. If the director isn't saying anything, it's translated otherwise it's not. I
found myself constantly rewinding the movie so I could read the apes
dialogue scenes. I've seen this happen on other movies where the
dialogue is translated from another language and it is beyond annoying.
They need to put the language translation on a separate burned in track.

Tales of the Empire (Disney+) - This is the second season of an animated anthology series set in the Star Wars universe. I binged through all
six episodes. The first three episodes gave the backstory for "Morgan
Elsbeth" who was one of the main villains on Ahsoka. The second half
gave the back story of "Barriss Offee" who was a former Jedi who worked
for the empire as an inquisitor before turning good again. I was not
familiar with this character but apparently she appeared in other shows.

The Equalizer - "Condemned" - Mostly background noise.

    TRACKER ā€œBeyond the Campus Wallsā€œ

The show has given up on naming episodes after cities.

A member of the janitorial staff at a college hasnā€™t heard from her son a grad student in almost 2 days so tracker is on the case. It seems
incredibly unlikely that she could afford to pay his fee much less Panic
and locate him and get him there in under 48 hours.

Trackers hot sister happens to work there so he sort of spends some time
sort of reconnecting with her because after all the missing kid isnā€™t a priority. She keeps asking why she hardly ever hears from him and the
answer seems to be because heā€™s an uncaring dick.

So all kinds of weird stuff surrounds the missing grad student, including a lame couple who make their living, getting people to pay them to troll
other people on the Internet, which could explain a lot about RAT. Along
the way there are sex dungeons and people foraging data about outside
    funded university programs.

Big stupid abounds. Sister texts tracker where and when for their dinner
and gets a confirmation reply from him and yet because heā€™s busy sitting in his trailer waiting to hear about a clue he manages to completely forget
    about it.

The big bad who telegraphed himself in the very first scene at the college doesnā€™t want to kill the missing kid, but the little bad does so the big
bad murders the little bad in cold blood to keep from having to kill
anybody and then drags the kid away because I have no fucking idea what his plan was.

Siblings talk about their mother, but go back-and-forth between past and present tense Like they arenā€™t sure if sheā€™s alive or not, but apparently they are both sure the other brother is alive so weā€™ll get more family
drama, which is the worst part of the show.

The black computer expert guy gets one unbelievably stupid scene where
tracker gets the little badā€™s cute wife to give up their password so they
can send a text message to the big bad that says ā€œI have the evidence meet meā€ but instead of just letting her send it they have the computer expert
guy remotely forge her account and send it for her. Why? And then they
forget completely about her character at the end, even though she should be doing a long stretch in prison.

Thereā€™s another incredibly stupid scene where tracker asks the missing kid how heā€™s doing even though itā€™s the same evening and tells him heā€™s about to get good news and the kid gets an update from his mother about them
putting the big bad away forever, even though this is like an hour later,
and apparently the kid who is the witness and the only witness to the
murder Hasnā€™t even been talking to the police. His mother has instead. What the hell?

There were ads for Tom Selleck on CBS mornings which Iā€™m watching right now and is painfully awful. The lesser Natalie Morales looks like sheā€™s in one
of those ads for uncontrolled mouth twitching. And ads for the end of NCIS Oahu, which I set to record although Iā€™m sure they wonā€™t do anything in the way of a finale. And ads for NCIS baby Gibbs, where they only show stock footage of Mark Harmon from behind. Again, what the hell? Heā€™s obviously associated with the show since heā€™s narrating it. ā€œYouā€™ve seen how his story ends now see how it begins!ā€œ I guess heā€™s never coming back from Alaska.

They never mentioned how much he was being paid for that job. It's
entirely possible he was only an hour or two away when he heard about
this case. So even if it only paid a $1000 or it wouldn't be that big
a deal. Plus there was the added benefit of his sister working there
(which is likely the main reason he took the job.)

Trackers hot sister happens to work there so he sort of spends some time

Yeah, apparently his time with his dad and what happened with his
brother left him disconnecting from everyone.

So all kinds of weird stuff surrounds the missing grad student, including a >lame couple who make their living, getting people to pay them to troll
other people on the Internet, which could explain a lot about RAT. Along
the way there are sex dungeons and people foraging data about outside

Yeah, I didn't get how those pics were going to get the college
student to go along with them. I mean he supposedly got himself a hot
woman who was into kinky stuff would just enhance his stance in
    college.

Big stupid abounds. Sister texts tracker where and when for their dinner
and gets a confirmation reply from him and yet because heā€™s busy sitting in >his trailer waiting to hear about a clue he manages to completely forget >about it.

Just shows how he ignores everything not involving his work.

The big bad who telegraphed himself in the very first scene at the college >doesnā€™t want to kill the missing kid, but the little bad does so the big >bad murders the little bad in cold blood to keep from having to kill
anybody and then drags the kid away because I have no fucking idea what his >plan was.

At that point I don't think he was thinking clearly. Not sure he ever
    was.

Siblings talk about their mother, but go back-and-forth between past and >present tense Like they arenā€™t sure if sheā€™s alive or not, but apparently >they are both sure the other brother is alive so weā€™ll get more family >drama, which is the worst part of the show.

Agreed. I'm not clear on if the mother is alive or not after that
convo. Perhaps the writers aren't sure so they intentionally left it
    murky.

The black computer expert guy gets one unbelievably stupid scene where >tracker gets the little badā€™s cute wife to give up their password so they >can send a text message to the big bad that says ā€œI have the evidence meet >meā€ but instead of just letting her send it they have the computer expert >guy remotely forge her account and send it for her. Why? And then they >forget completely about her character at the end, even though she should be >doing a long stretch in prison.

That felt like the computer guy needed to hit a certain number of
lines or screen time so they gave him that filler scene.

Thereā€™s another incredibly stupid scene where tracker asks the missing kid >how heā€™s doing even though itā€™s the same evening and tells him heā€™s about
to get good news and the kid gets an update from his mother about them >putting the big bad away forever, even though this is like an hour later,
and apparently the kid who is the witness and the only witness to the
murder Hasnā€™t even been talking to the police. His mother has instead. What >the hell?

Time works differently in the world of the TRACKER. So the mom can
know what is happening with the bad guy while still talking to the
Tracker and her son about what happened that day. She lives in the
future and the current day at the same time.

There were ads for Tom Selleck on CBS mornings which Iā€™m watching right now >and is painfully awful. The greater Natalie Morales is still on GRAY'S ANATOMY and seems
likely to be there going into next season. As she's the main surgeon
on the show who works on kids in addition to Camilla Luddington's
character. Dub Dub is still awaiting Fred's call.

    TRACKER ā€œBeyond the Campus Wallsā€œ

The show has given up on naming episodes after cities.

A member of the janitorial staff at a college hasnā€™t heard from her son a >> grad student in almost 2 days so tracker is on the case. It seems
incredibly unlikely that she could afford to pay his fee much less Panic
and locate him and get him there in under 48 hours.

Assuming mom called him at hour zero which would be really, really
    annoying.

Trackers hot sister happens to work there so he sort of spends some time
sort of reconnecting with her because after all the missing kid isnā€™t a
priority. She keeps asking why she hardly ever hears from him and the
answer seems to be because heā€™s an uncaring dick.

Yeah, apparently his time with his dad and what happened with his
brother left him disconnecting from everyone.

Which youā€™d think the sister wouldā€™ve figured out by now.

So all kinds of weird stuff surrounds the missing grad student, including a >> lame couple who make their living, getting people to pay them to troll
other people on the Internet, which could explain a lot about RAT. Along
the way there are sex dungeons and people foraging data about outside
    funded university programs.

Yeah, I didn't get how those pics were going to get the college
student to go along with them. I mean he supposedly got himself a hot
woman who was into kinky stuff would just enhance his stance in
    college.

I know! Iā€™d put those on my Facebook if my Facebook would allow it! The
only leverage they could have was if they threatened to show them to the
girl in the lab that he likes.

Big stupid abounds. Sister texts tracker where and when for their dinner
and gets a confirmation reply from him and yet because heā€™s busy sitting in
his trailer waiting to hear about a clue he manages to completely forget
    about it.

Just shows how he ignores everything not involving his work.

I would feel better about it if he had not texted her back a confirmation.

The big bad who telegraphed himself in the very first scene at the college >> doesnā€™t want to kill the missing kid, but the little bad does so the big >> bad murders the little bad in cold blood to keep from having to kill
anybody and then drags the kid away because I have no fucking idea what his >> plan was.

At that point I don't think he was thinking clearly. Not sure he ever
    was.

Fair point. Heā€™s got a pretty good argument that he saved the kidnap
victim and tracker shot him for no good reason.

You have to wonder how they prosecute any of these cases when trackers gone
    by nightfall.

Siblings talk about their mother, but go back-and-forth between past and
present tense Like they arenā€™t sure if sheā€™s alive or not, but apparently
they are both sure the other brother is alive so weā€™ll get more family
drama, which is the worst part of the show.

Agreed. I'm not clear on if the mother is alive or not after that
convo. Perhaps the writers aren't sure so they intentionally left it
    murky.

Didnā€™t we see the mother in the first episode? Wasnā€™t she the woman he visited that had the fatherā€˜s grave in her yard?

The black computer expert guy gets one unbelievably stupid scene where
tracker gets the little badā€™s cute wife to give up their password so they >> can send a text message to the big bad that says ā€œI have the evidence meet >> meā€ but instead of just letting her send it they have the computer expert >> guy remotely forge her account and send it for her. Why? And then they
forget completely about her character at the end, even though she should be >> doing a long stretch in prison.

That felt like the computer guy needed to hit a certain number of
lines or screen time so they gave him that filler scene.

Yeah, Iā€™m picturing the meeting where the one suit said to the other ā€œwe have to pay this guy anywayā€œ

Thereā€™s another incredibly stupid scene where tracker asks the missing kid >> how heā€™s doing even though itā€™s the same evening and tells him heā€™s about
to get good news and the kid gets an update from his mother about them
putting the big bad away forever, even though this is like an hour later,
and apparently the kid who is the witness and the only witness to the
murder Hasnā€™t even been talking to the police. His mother has instead. What
    the hell?

Time works differently in the world of the TRACKER. So the mom can
know what is happening with the bad guy while still talking to the
Tracker and her son about what happened that day. She lives in the
future and the current day at the same time.

    That would explain it.

IMDb lists a written by guy and a staff writer as well in addition to the creator and the developer.

Most of the episodes have one or two written by and one or two staff
writers. But the writing credits get shorter with each episode! They
dumped the story editor after episode three. I suspect the staff writer is there just to keep track of the ongoing storyline and the written by does
the case of the week. Almost none of the written by people have done more
    than one episode.

I would like to point out that one of the writers is a real cutie pie

Thereā€™s another incredibly stupid scene where tracker asks the missing kid
how heā€™s doing even though itā€™s the same evening and tells him heā€™s about
to get good news and the kid gets an update from his mother about them >>>>> putting the big bad away forever, even though this is like an hour later, >>>>> and apparently the kid who is the witness and the only witness to the >>>>> murder Hasnā€™t even been talking to the police. His mother has instead. What
    the hell?

Time works differently in the world of the TRACKER. So the mom can
know what is happening with the bad guy while still talking to the
Tracker and her son about what happened that day. She lives in the
future and the current day at the same time.

    That would explain it.

It's the only way I could explain what was happening in that scene.
You have to wonder what the writer was thinking. Or are we in another
situation where we have multiple writers working on the same episode
AND not bothering to read over the other's work.

Thatā€™s why they were striking for writers rooms.

IMDb lists a written by guy and a staff writer as well in addition to the >creator and the developer.

Most of the episodes have one or two written by and one or two staff
writers. But the writing credits get shorter with each episode! They
dumped the story editor after episode three. I suspect the staff writer is >there just to keep track of the ongoing storyline and the written by does

    TRACKER ā€œBeyond the Campus Wallsā€œ

Big stupid abounds. Sister texts tracker where and when for their dinner

his trailer waiting to hear about a clue he manages to completely forget >>>>>> about it.

Just shows how he ignores everything not involving his work.

I would feel better about it if he had not texted her back a confirmation. >>>>

    Agreed.

The big bad who telegraphed himself in the very first scene at the college
doesnā€™t want to kill the missing kid, but the little bad does so the big
bad murders the little bad in cold blood to keep from having to kill >>>>>> anybody and then drags the kid away because I have no fucking idea what his
    plan was.

At that point I don't think he was thinking clearly. Not sure he ever >>>>> was.

Fair point. Heā€™s got a pretty good argument that he saved the kidnap >>>> victim and tracker shot him for no good reason.

You have to wonder how they prosecute any of these cases when trackers gone
    by nightfall.

True. Given that often the only actual evidence of the criminal acts
would be the testimony by the Tracker.

Siblings talk about their mother, but go back-and-forth between past and >>>>>> present tense Like they arenā€™t sure if sheā€™s alive or not, but apparently
they are both sure the other brother is alive so weā€™ll get more family >>>>>> drama, which is the worst part of the show.

Agreed. I'm not clear on if the mother is alive or not after that
convo. Perhaps the writers aren't sure so they intentionally left it >>>>> murky.

Didnā€™t we see the mother in the first episode? Wasnā€™t she the woman he >>>> visited that had the fatherā€˜s grave in her yard?

Yes, that's right. I had forgotten about seeing Wendy Crewson in one
of the episodes. So she must be alive but Tracker never sees her
because he never revisits with anyone.

IMDB says she was in the pilot and the second episode where tracker had to >> rescue the guy being held by the cult. But I suspect she mustā€™ve literally >> phoned in the second appearance. And that seems to be the end of it.

The black computer expert guy gets one unbelievably stupid scene where >>>>>> tracker gets the little badā€™s cute wife to give up their password so they
can send a text message to the big bad that says ā€œI have the evidence meet
meā€ but instead of just letting her send it they have the computer expert
guy remotely forge her account and send it for her. Why? And then they >>>>>> forget completely about her character at the end, even though she should be
doing a long stretch in prison.

That felt like the computer guy needed to hit a certain number of
lines or screen time so they gave him that filler scene.

Yeah, Iā€™m picturing the meeting where the one suit said to the other ā€œwe
