• Why do companies make it so hard??

All I want to do is simply transfer a Spark landline to my existing
    Vodafone home 4G internet connection.

    Phone up Vodafone day 1:
    - "Sorry, computers aren't working at the moment. Phone back in 2 hours."

    Phone up Vodafone day 2:
    - "I can switch you to a new fibre plan."
    - No, I just want to add the landline to my existing account.
    - "Sorry, I can't add that. You'll have to go into a store.
Do you want a new mobile phone?"

    :-\

Same with banks - you try to do anything slightly complicated and you
get "Sorry, you'll have to go into a branch to do that", but we've
stupidly been closing them, so it'll take three times as long!

Even when you do go into the store wishing to purchase a new phone they push the offers and anything else but offering you a phone which would be
    a suitable replacement.

The banks (when you can actually find a branch that hasn't been closed
down!!) do that too - keep trying to push you into new accounts,
    insurance, etc.

Part of it is often the stupidity of paying salesman with a commission.
That just makes them greedy and what the customer wants is irrelevant. Commissions and bonuses should be illegal - just pay a normal hourly
    wage.
