    Whats the best way to block spam on Thunderbird?

    Easiest way is to right-click the From line in the offending post, then
    click, Create Filter From... Click OK, then click Run Now. Of course,
    the default here is to only create a filter on the newsgroup you're in.

    If you want to create a filter for ALL newsgroups, click on the
    hamburger menu, then go to Tools > Message Filters. Click New, then fill
    out your filter how you want it to be.
