Apple will soon be known as the cheapest out supplier of choice
If this trend of Apple's new strategy of always cheaping out on the loyal customer keeps up, Apple will soon be known as the cheapest out supplier of choice providing only the barest of essentials so that it's ever cheaper customer can save on minor hardware costs.

anonymous sources claim that apple will stop assembling their products
and instead simply supply a box of parts. that way, they can eliminate
all of the assembly line workers and save billions of dollars.

If you need, they'll also sell you the assembly instructions: $29 for 64
GB storage devices. $39 for 128 GB and $49 for 256...and that's for the download version only. A mailed paper set is $20 extra.
A repackaged/relabeled Home Depot portable tool kit with two small screw drivers and a pliers in a beautiful white box is available for $39, plus
tax and shipping. Two of those white Apple Logo stick-on labels are
included, however.
Are they really not including a USB-C cable to charge the remote? That
would be very bad considering that a lot of iPhone users would not have
a USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C cable. Such a cable would only cost
Apple maybe 20¢ to include. But it appears that this is the case.
OTOH, I doubt that they're selling a lot of Apple TV boxes.
For those without a Smart TV, the Roku Ultra is much less expensive and
has more capability.
