Connect external storage devices to iPhone https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/external-storage-devices-iph95baac91f/ios

For about $26 you can get this iOS 17 to Micro-USB OTG Cable. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DBPLM7W

Or, for free, you can connect any iOS device to Linux and use iFuse
(which allows you to use the entire iOS device memory as a USB stick).

Yes, I did. Could not find it. Surprised, because this is easy on Android phones with short OTG cables.

I think he's pointing out that walled garden apps do not interoperate.
Luckily, AnDrop (AirDrop for Android) app works with AirDrop on the mac.

Lots of good answers are in this thread, but you can't use AirDrop between
the platforms - but you can use SnapDrop & PairDrop between both platforms. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fmsys.snapdrop&hl=en_GB&gl=US

Works with Windows & Linux too. https://www.tomsguide.com/how-to/how-to-share-files-between-android-and-iphone

Arlen is angry that you have not taken an earlier post from one of his

new sock-puppet "Tony T" to reprimand you.

We have never seen this "Tony T" in this newsgroup before.

I'm sure glad you're keeping track of arlen. Jughead Lorenz used to do a

Actually it can be extremely useful. Not sure if the iPhone 15, with
USB-C can support any of the vast number of devices that Android OTG
    supports.

Of course some devices used with OTG have equivalent functionality using
Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but not all. Also, OTG powers the external device
which of course isn't possible with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Sometimes there are workarounds to the lack of OTG on iPhones, but they
are cumbersome and time-consuming. For example, if you want to play a
DVD on an Android device you plug a portable DVD drive into the tablet
or phone and play the DVD. On iPhone or iPad, you use a computer to rip
the DVD to a format supported by iPadOS or iOS then transfer the file to
    the phone (https://www.movavi.com/support/how-to/how-to-convert-dvd-for-iphone.html).

The main impression nospam made on me what he was the smartest of the
ignorant uneducated Apple religious zealots, but he still had a substandard
IQ (an assessment I base on the sheer sophomoric nature of his Apple
    excuses).

He was as laughable as the rest of you ignorant uneducated Apple religious zealots, where all he could do was deny facts that he hated (which was a
lot of facts) by saying "nobody needs nor wants any functionality on Apple products").

That's the *best* excuse nospam could come up with to explain why Apple products can't do hundreds (if not thousands) of useful things that every
other operating system easily did (such as the Tor browser, automatic call recording, torrenting, system wide firewalls, listing installed apps to a
file, organizing the homescreen the way you want it to be, etc.).

The kindergarten nature of nospam's excuses proved he had a low IQ.

Plus nospam was a brazen liar, just as Jolly Roger and Alan Baker are, in
that none of you have ever written a single line of code in your life.

I can tell that becaue you know nothing about what you claim to know, much
like Chris claims to have a PhD in the biological sciences and yet he
didn't know the first thing about immunology - proving he's a liar also.

All of you ignorant uneducated Apple religious zealots are brazen liars.
The reason is none of you have any education - so you fabricate it.

All of you Apple zealots hate any truth about Apple (you call all facts
about Apple to be trolls, in fact) - and all of you Apple zealots own kindergarten reasoning skills when you make excuses for Apple's flaws.

Yet, even though nospam clearly had a below-average IQ, he actually knew
more about radios than the rest of you did (and even more than I did).

Good riddance, I say, to nospam, where if Jolly Roger, Joerg Lorenz, Alan Baker, Rod Speed (i.e., all the "%" nyms) and Alan Browne left this Apple newsgroup, the quality of the discussions would rise exponentially.

Good riddance to all the ignorant uneducated brazen liars like you JR.
I don't know anything about Apple products and yet I know more than you do.
