• Why didn't Trump just burn all of the documents found at Mar-a-Lago

From Scream@21:1/5 to All on Wed Sep 28 19:46:52 2022
So, back when Trump was in office, one of the many, many scandals (and a very minor one, by the standards of his administration) was that, while visiting Paris, he saw some pieces of art he liked in the ambassador’s residence, and took them back with
    him.

Now, to be clear, there was nothing illegal about that. Technically, the ambassador’s residence is government property, the ambassador answers to the president, and so it wasn’t stealing to move the pieces to the White House. But it’s a cringe-
worthy breech of protocol and basic courtesy. Every other president in living memory had the basic decorum and respect not to do something like that. But it just never occurs to Trump that he can’t just see something he wants and take it. It doesn’t
even seem to occur to him that anyone would object. And when they do, he gets really pissy about it, because that’s what he’s done his whole life.

It’s still unclear why Trump stole the documents. It’s possible that some of them had embarrassing or incriminating information. Maybe he planned to sell them or trade them for favors. Maybe he liked having them around to show off to people. Or maybe
it was to support the pathetic fantasy that he’s still president. Like a dementia patient who’s convinced that he has to get to a very important meeting right away, maybe Trump told himself that he had to keep the Top Secret information for when the
country needed him to do President stuff again.

Point is, he didn’t destroy it because he wanted to keep it. He obviously has no problem destroying official documents (in violation of law), but these were ones he wanted. And the notion that he couldn’t just walk off with them never entered his
    befuddled mind.

    Think on this:
Remember the secret meeting with Putin? I believe he was working a deal with Putin to trade government secrets for money and his personal safety if he is prosecuted. He was going to trade 'State Secrets' because he was worried about something secret
might be discovered. Trump was stashing top secrets to trade for safety in Russia if he got indicted.

Only in your dreams. BTW, you cannot put the Repub pres candidate in 2024 in prison. Makes Dems look afraid that Trump will be reelected.

What to bet? He is citizen Trump and NYC wants a piece of him. The LAW does not exclude formor Presidents of criminal conduct. Do you think Trump can pardon himself over criminal conduct, or IRS criminal conspiracy to defraud the Government? I
    think your wrong.

Or
maybe it was to support the pathetic fantasy that he’s still president. Like a dementia patient who’s convinced that he has to get to a very important meeting right away, maybe Trump told himself that he had to keep the Top Secret information for
when the country needed him to do President stuff again.

Point is, he didn’t destroy it because he wanted to keep it. He obviously has no problem destroying official documents (in violation of law), but these were ones he wanted. And the notion that he couldn’t just walk off with them never entered his
    befuddled mind.

I think Trump was going to trade America's secrets to Putin . That is why he only had a Russian translator with his meeting with Putin. I woider what Trump has all ready gave Putin.. Putin's smile was a hint.. Trump was/has going to trade or sell
    USA Secrets.
Donald Trump MUST be charged with Treason.

Dems lost big on Nov 8. House is in Republican hands, Pelosi is out. No more anti gun bill, no more immigration bill,, no student loan give aways, polls say voters want Biden replaced. Republicans going after Hunter Biden. Voters will see Jan
6/FBI hearing as more Dem BS. House will investigate this hearing and FBI.

By that logic all any criminal needs to do is announce
    "I'm running for president"
to avoid being locked up. Not going to fly.
