    Not particularly out of line with the rest of the world.
    Ford, GM and others have said they will stop making
    gas only cars by 2035.

    However, the charging infrastructure needs a lot of
    work and regulatory changes in many places. Ontario
    in particular since public charging stations currently
    bill by time and not energy use.

    Even today's, EV car parts , though fewer, but double , triple the price of IC cars!
