• Bug#1069203: gpgv-from-sq: gpgv-from-sq should Provides gpgv (= 2.2.40)

From Daniel Kahn Gillmor@21:1/5 to All on Thu Apr 18 00:10:01 2024
    Package: gpgv-from-sq
    Version: 0.8.0-1
    Severity: normal
    X-Debbugs-Cc: Daniel Kahn Gillmor <dkg@fifthhorseman.net>

If i install gpgv-from-sq, i'd expect it to satisfy any dependency that
exists for gpgv. That means it should probably have a Provides: header.

Given that the current chameleon sources infer the behavior from GnuPG's version 2.2.40 release, it would also probably make sense for it to be a versioned Provides:, mapped to the version upstream uses to sort out the interface.
