Juk started to behave a bit weirdly for me when adding a new directory to play so I closed it using the "File > Quit" menu option and it closed. But now when Juk is started it fails to show its window and appears to be hanging and needs to be killed.
If the "~/.config/jukrc" file is deleted then Juk starts and shows its window but all the menus (File, Edit, Player, etc) are disabled and clicking on them has no effect.
Vlc still works and plays audio files as it should.
Any ideas? Thanks

Identical versions here. Sad to say (from your PoV) all works correctly.
What happens if you move the ~/.local/juk directory out of the way?
It's possible the databases therein have become corrupt.
Beyond that, I have no idea. Sorry.

Deleting the "~/.local/share/juk" directory resolved the issue. All of my setup is gone but at least Juk can start normally.(hence "move out of the way", not "delete", if you did that you would be
