    Indeed, I think this specifically kicks in if no user has been created,
    which is not the common case in Debian as d-i does create a user by
    default.

    I tried to use Fedora 23 beta, it also uses g-i-s and doesn't feel
    any bad, and good for initial setup especially social service account
    connection setup.


    Also please not g-i-s is already packaged (not uploaded) in pkg-gnome.
    We've discussed a few times that it might be ok to upload it to Debian
    as it might be useful for downstreams or special installers of Debian,
    even if it's not part of the GNOME metapackage install.

    Anyway let's upload it to repo once and consider how to manage it
    later. It's no harm.
