    This is not about shell, but about gnu compiler tools. "gcc -v" shows how it was configured.
    $ gcc -v
    Configured with: ../src/configure -v --with-pkgversion='Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.12' --with-bugurl=file:///usr/share/do...

    Is there an equivalent option for ld?
