A few weeks ago I checked my phone’s memory and was surprised to see about 90 gb used out of 128 capacity. The biggest use was in iOS and System data. I tried reducing my aviation chart coverage to just Midwest and cleaning up photos and videos. That
helped a little, maybe 10 gb tops.
This morning I took the time to backup, wipe and reload. The phone is running fine. With about 35 gb used. So the question is why did the memory have 45 gb of useless junk files? Second question is why does Apple not have a utility for cleaning junk -
like Windows.
