!LP_WowAndFlutter is a program which provides a 'Wow and Flutter'
measurement and assessment process to be carried out for examining the performance of a turntable used for playing LPs. (Or , erm, "Vinyl's" as apparently they are now often called! :-) )
A previous version was released some time ago. However this email is to announce a new 'improved' version which offers a useful extra capability.
It can now generate a DrawFile which displays the results in graphical
form. This makes assessment of the results much easier. In particular, it
helps identify the causes of speed variations, and thus aids diagnosis if
the performance of the turntable is poorer than the user might expect.
To generare the graphics, the program uses the 'DrawGen' process, and a new version of the DrawGen module is provided with the program. Also included
is the source code which may be regarded as 'Open Source', plus a detailed
Help file.
The program can be obtained via a link from my software page at:

A Linux version is also available. (This uses Veusz for creating graphical output.)
