• IFYOO joystick

From Pr. Mandrake@21:1/5 to All on Thu Mar 23 20:51:42 2023
I ordered a joystick off of one of those internet warehouses. It worked
well for Doom, Quake and a couple others. I let it sit for about a month
then took it out again and the calibration was askew. There was a
    permanent pull to the right.

That's what I get for ordering some random Chinese branded joystick.

I just avoid stuff like that as you just know it's going to be some
other that's been ripped off and then built to a sub-quality standard.

Meanwhile, my twenty-five year old Sidewinder 3D joystick* from
    Microsoft remains perfectly calibrated.

I mean, aren't most modern joysticks digitally calibrated anyway? I
    haven't recalibrated a stick in a dog's age.

    * reason #3 for my recent rebuild of my Windows98 machine; I wanted a
computer with an old-school gameport that I could use with that
    'stick.
