  • GIMP 3.0 on gtkmm instead of GTK3

    I read that GIMP 3.0 will use GTK3 (see https://wiki.gimp.org/wiki/Roadmap ) However, GTK3 is much slower than GTK2 (which is also why LXDE swapped to Qt instead of moving to GTK3, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LXDE )

    So, how about you just move to gtkmm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gtkmm ) ? This will be faster than GTK3, and also faster than Qt. Also, the code of it will be still rather similar to GTK2/GTK3, so it should be relatively easy to accomplish (at least compared to moving to Qt, or even finishing the move to GTK3).
