I just grabbed an updated Mystic A47 and looking at the whatsnew.txt Mystic now supports PING and TRACE!

I also noticed the new version supports a -run flag to mutil, so that I don't need multiple mutil.ini copies for different tasks. (Although for daily maintenance the number of enabled tasks is rather large, so that
one is still separate here.)
I also notice some of g00r00's new messages have taglines on them... maybe a hint of things to come? *crosses fingers*

I saw that request of him in an othernet, nice to see it implemented in Mystic. When I do update it will be a welcome addition.

And the latest build has added taglines! WOO HOO!
All hail g00r00! ;)
Jay
LOL - taglines for messages? Like those annoying one-liners below a message? :P
I never used them but won't turn a feature away. I know on aBSINTHE,
tho, I always say NOT to add them... guess /me doesn't need to use it - but wonder how it will be implemented too.

I've always enjoyed them. Adds in a bit of humour to keep things lighthearted. Was one thing I kind of missed when getting back into the scene.
Search actually works if you wanted to look for a specific tagline & there's also a global database of taglines available for all users, as well as a database for each individual user, if they wanted to copy from the global or add in their own. Also, if you didn't want to manually select one each time you write a message, one can be randomly selected
and added to your message automatically.
Hail! Wish it could be more then 5000 max though. I have more then that. Granted, I need to go through the file and remove offensive ones and
ones I don't like.
Ok .. Mr. Warpslide, you may have given me a reason to do the dang upgrade. uhg .. crossing fingers.
BTW -- you sending the usenet echos through fido? I think it's your BBS that started sending them to me again ... not sure .. maybe I have my names mixed up, but now I forget how to set it all back up
The upgrade was pretty seamless for me. Just followed the instructions
in upgrade.txt and I'm chugging away.
IBBS One Liners, MRC, BBSLink & Door Party are all still working. I did have to remove the paths for Python2 & Python3 library under
Configuration -> General Settings as they were set to a Windows path. Other than that, no issues so far.
You may have me mixed up with someone else. I'm connected to Paul/Avon's 21:1/10 node for usenet feeds.
