    String #8 displays "Username is already taken" for new users trying to use a name that's already in use.

    Instead of displaying the string, it's just clearing out the in-use name from the input and allowing the user to try again.

    I'm using a44 (Linux)

    I changed most of the new user prompts. For prompt #8, I tried typing a
    string like "that name is in use" and I tried | D F inuse.ans, and neither works.

    So at the username (login) prompt, I type "asdf"
    Then it says "That name is not in use. Are you new?" then I hit "Y"
    Then at the new user application process, I change "asdf" to "Metalhead"
    (I'm asking for trouble - I know) and then it just clears "Metalhead" and
    lets me type something new, instead of saying "That name is in use."

    I did the same on mine and it works fine so it must be the configuration vs a bug.

    It seems to be displaying it for me when I try during the new user login.

    Is this during the standard questions when a new user is registering?

    Where/how are you editing the string (ie, Theme editor?) and what theme is it that you're editing? Unless you have theme selection enabled at login, Mystic will be loading the strings from whatever you have configured as your default theme and if there are no prompts there, then it will take the system default.

    Ok. I will try a fresh start.

    Yes, standard new user questions - I was making a new "That name is in use" string in the Theme/Prompt Editor, and then it refused to display the string when I was testing it out.

    But I did a fresh install and it doesn't occur on the fresh install. So, who knows, something I did must have triggered it. If I encounter it again while setting up this fresh install, and if I can pinpoint what seemed to cause it,
    I will let you know.
