Just upgraded as per upgrade.txt and it went fantastic. Some things to
1. Moves themes from default and /theme directory into /themes
directory.
4. Don't forget ot recompile MPL code
That's called a feature! :)
4. Don't forget ot recompile MPL codegames/added programs? Remind me/us on the steps to do this...since there are some decent changes.
I attempted to update the 1/100 HUB but hit some issues with missing prompts and the system crashing when I attempted to view them.
I just had this issue. When Mystic moved the themes, it created a prompts.txt and prompts.bak. I installed a fresh A44 and checked the prompts and they're identical in number (552) to A43. I checked my
theme's prompts.bak and it matched fine. So I copied prompts.bak over to prompts.txt and issue resolved.
Ok seems to be running fine on my end.. One bug I have found, when in the themes menu at the list of themes you can not hit the / key to move
around the themes, they are stuck in alphabetical order. Otherwise, so

A fresh install of the Win32 version also borks on the missing prompts file despite the prompts.dat being in the data dir.
Avon, the prompts.dat in /data can be copied over to prompts.txt in /themes/(yourtheme)/prompts.txt

I did this and it finds it fine. Had same issue on fresh install in linux
I would replace prompts.txt in the above path with your current so it won't screw up all your customizations

Now this is weird. It copied my previous prompts file (Which now I can
not find at all in my previous Mystic install) to the correct location
in Themes, it did not copy it to my optional themes directories though..
Thanks for the info :) How did you find this out?
It may be that the build changes again before it sees the light of day
on the downloads page of the website. I'll go have a look now and see if we can't update a few things at this end in the coming hours and with a few backups in place first :)

I'm curious to see if folks have staging instances where they test Mystic upgrades.
Ah, yeah might just hand copy it.
Make sure you have good backup plans when testing prealpha (or anything really)

far everything seems to be running fine.. I will post more if I find more...
Just got every script recompiled & no more error messages. Just ran mplc.exe in the new scripts folder against every *.mps file in the
folder. Had no problem with any of the scripts...except the to-prmpt...which you change in your prompts file.
Sorry about that I completely spaced out when I was doing the upgrade instructions!
There is going to be an "Display Order" number that will eventually work, although it doesn't now. Unfortunately until I get that done there is
no way to change the order they appear within the editors anyway.
Found a bug that is affecting me...
Any prompts.txt string that is null crashes Mystic.
Also, a feature request. Can we have themes ACS controlled? So while certain themes are in-dev, they can be sysop-only ... or whatever the sysop wants.
No sweat bud... I know you will get to it.. Been running it now since Saturday, no issues at all on my end.. Haven't tried the MUTIL Message base bug yet but will tonight.. If it doesn't work I will report it.. Thanks for hte update...

Themes are typically chosen before a user logs in, so there is no real security that can be applied at that point. If I were to add an ACS it wouldn't really apply unless you tried to change the theme after logging in.
I suppose for the use case you're talking about that would probably work though, but I don't know how you'd test the login functions. Any ideas?

prompts.txt now only contains prompts that are not system defaults

You don't even want to know how long I spent making that stupid thing...
I do agree with Solaris... it looks nice :)
Is that because I purposefully put FSX at the top? Ha!
I asked for this also about a year (or two) ago. Maybe setting a theme active yes/no would be an idea. But the reason why I asked for this ACS controlled option is that I would like to swap from theme when I join a board/group/conference in my BBS. I could not think of another way to do this. Anyway if it could be done by a menu command -> "automatic/forced" theme switch then it would be even better!
During the new user login, the default theme would be used according to whatever the default login ACS would be. Any themes requiring validation (such as s20 themes, dX whatever) would be unavailable.
(Also, sorry to hear of your loss and burdens, I lost my father on Valentine's Day last year, and my mother relies on me and my wife to take care of her.)
The error I got was once the A44 moved the themese from A43, my prompts.txt only had about 50 prompts in it. They were still numbered according to what prompt they were supposed to be but all the prompts
were not there. When I opened the prompts.txt from A44 in Mystic's
