Hi all.. Have a rather crazy question... I am trying to use Mystic as a door server that I can login via RLOGIN. (I know I can use GameSvr, but want to tackle it with Mystic if possible) I understand the RLOGIN
concept wtih User and Password fields, but is there a way to bypass the Mystic login portion and just send user and pass to the door menu
direct? Any info from any of you seasoned pro's would be appreciated.. (Yea I an kiss up with the best of them.. LOL)
I asked g00r00 to do this because I wanted to use Mystic as a
replacement for DoorParty. He told me he had no inclination of doing
that, because it wasn't the way RLogin was supposed to work.

Welp that answers that.. Guess it will be GameSvr.. :)
Yeah. If there was a way I could create accounts with Python on connect I'd probably do that. I'm not sure if I can, though. I know you can run Python scripts on the commandline before any connection is completed,
but I'm not sure I can force account creation that way. Guess it's something to look into.

Definitely appreciate the info Maskreet.. I have a GameSvr running just never finished setting it up and now that my CNet Amiga BBS is close to allowing RLOGIN out I was going to try to use my Door Menu from within
the Mystic so I could also take advantage of the MPL doors I have... Oh well..
Actually... I tried another approach to making this work, and I can say that right now with the test script I cobbled together yesterday, I can have accounts created with a supplied username and password. I can also have it auto-login the created account, but not both depending on creation/login. I'm working on that. Once I do, then it should be a snap to just get the supplied username and password and door code through RLogin to use Mystic as a door server. I'll keep you guys updated on
this.

That would be great.. :)
I actually got it to work. Now I just need to install Syncterm for the RLogin testing, and it should be golden (hopefully).

Can you explain this again?
Are you sure it wasn't because Mystic doesn't have the user's password?
After you got RLogin fully working, I'd asked if it was possible for you to allow it to do account auto-creation through RLogin, and you'd said
you wouldn't ever because that wasn't the way RLogin worked. I dropped
it after that because I figured that was that, and I admire you and your work too much to push for something that you seemed dead-set against.
