• Netmail settings

There's a set of settings in "Message Settings" that are for Netmail - Crash, Hold, Killsent, and Direct.

I was looking to try out sending netmail by directly contacting the BBS I wanted to send netmail to. Before finding the settings, I was assuming I was looking for "Netmail Crash", but now I'm leaning toward "Direct" being the important one for that.

But I don't really know, and the wiki just talks about it being about setting the flags for these items.

So can anyone explain what those four Netmail options are?

I have always left those setting off in Mystic and done the routing in
    the echomail nodes setup.

A Crash netmail will be sent directly, usually right away, A Hold netmail
will be packed into the outbound ang held for the node to pick up. A
Killsent netmail will be killed from your local message base after it is
packed in the outbound. A Direct netmail will be packed in the outbound
direct to the node in question rather than being routed by your routing
    rules.

I'm not sure if mystic will send directly to unknown nodes (nodes not
listed in your echomail nodes) but a little test should answer that. If
not you may need to add the node to your echomail nodes so Mystic knows
    where to send it.

    Ttyl :-),

Thanks for the info! I'm definitely leaving the Hold and Killsent off, but I think I'll give crash and direct a try. And hopefully not annoy anyone while doing so (or cause netmails to be missed).
