From Phantom Nomad@21:2/143 to All on Thu Dec 21 10:58:30 2017
Hello everyone. I was going through the event editor and noticed the BBS
type. I'm not sure what this would be used for. Does anyone have some documentation about it? I can't find anything on the wiki.

    Thanks
    Stephen

It's left over from the DOS versions. It really doesn't have a functional use that I can think of in its current state, outside of forcing users off of the BBS at a particular time.

I have plans to do a revamp of it so that MIS refuses to accept any connections while the event runs, and Mystic forces the users to log off. This could
then be used whenever there is a need to automate something that must run without the BBS online...

There are some maintenance functions that are meant to be done manually when you take your BBS down every few weeks or something: Packing the user base, file base, and message bases for example. This revamp would allow this to automate itself with minimal configuration.

But for now, its not really useful.

    I whole-heartedly support his revamp!

This looks like an excellent idea.
