  • bbs doors

    Where can I find doors that will work, being that I am using the 64-bit
    windows and 64-Bit version of Mystic BBS.
    I would be interested in adding some like Bre. Lord.

    Unfortunately, I don't believe 64-bit Windows can run DOS software anymore so there are no doors you can run natively.

    You have to run the 32-bit version of Windows for BBS doors, or use any Intel-based Linux, or use one of those external door services that you can have your BBS RLOGIN to their door server.

    you wont be able to play those games because they are not win32 versions.
    there is a win32 beta of LoRD 4.07 out there. im running it too. you can only play doors that are win32 that support the door32.sys drop file.

    Ok being that I'm already crazed having this sysoptitis, I will pick up
    another system - windows 32 bit box, so that I can offer users doors.

    Can these two systems talk to each other (the one that is 32 bit and the
    other one being 64 bit
    if not
    then how difficult would it be to transfer the bbs to a new 32-bit version of mystic. I am thinking that the ini files would be transferable. I would like to save as much as possible from my current bbs.

    You can just replace the ".exe" files with the 32-bit version and everything will work the same.

    You are welcome. Did you get Legion RPG installed? Which reminds me, I need to write up a how-to for Mystic to install this game. It was a bit of a twister to get it working right for me and there may be a better method. I
    put the legion cfg file and the legion batch file in my Mystic root directory with a batch file changing to the Legion RPG door game directory run it from there with using something like:

    c:\mystic\legion.bat %Pdoor32.sys %3

    If you see the intro looping, it means the door game is trying to read the
    ANSI files in the wrong directory.

    Just a bit of info for you or anyone else interested that may have had issues getting it to work with Mystic.
