I got talisman to compile and run on Haiku..
Seems to drop the first connection when loaded, but after that both
telnet and SSH appear to work.
So now you can run a bbs, or connect to a bbs (with magiterm) on Haiku. Yay!
Hmmm - I'll have to say 'Yay!' to that too... Haiku is a fun little
beast. I don't know exactly what its use case would be - but now we have another reason to possibly put Haiku in production... w00t w00t.

Haha. I don't know what the use case for any of this BBS stuff is now
days other than for a bit of fun :)

it's talisman running on haiku
I connected this evening, but when I got to the main menu, I lost
carrier. (You might be playing...?)
The weird thing is, telnet (the command) works fine, ssh via magiterm
works fine, magiterm on another OS works fine i'm stumped.
I installed haiku again yesterday, and I must have added some things to talisman a while back to work with haiku, although it didn't compile right away
and I had to tweak somethings.. I have a working haiku BBS :D
I also managed to compile dosbox and have a dos door on it.
Is it only using magiterm to connect to the localhost? Like haiku to haiku?
That's pretty cool. Really dig Haiku, and sounds like that could be a pretty modern way for a sysop to run a BBS on Haiku (and now you are giving me ideas, ha).
I'm having this weird error with Magiterm -> Talisman both on Haiku.
When i enter my password and press enter, magiterm appears to hang.. but talisman is still sending bytes, I can even press keys in magiterm and they register in talisman, but the recv function in magiterm keeps reporting EWOULDBLOCK.

ps. wrote this on connectbot on my phone :)
haiku is pretty fun though and i've installed it on my laptop and two desktops (one running bbs and this one) everything just works except bluetooth on my laptop

Everything seemed perfect except I did notice some times when the syste would slow/lag
That could be a few things, but I don't think would be haiku, more likely something network related, it's a long way to a garage in Australia from your place ;P
