  • Talisman v0.34 Out now

    Hey

    This update includes UTF-8 terminal auto detecting.

    UTF-8 input is not valid, only ASCII, but UTF-8 output will be converted
    from CP437 for all output except door games on Windows.

    At present because windows doors are passed a socket handle, and the io
    is not intercepted it is currently not possible to convert text from the
    door.

    Work arounds such as a loopback socket could be implemented, but I'm not
    sure if it's worth it. I imagine those who are into bbses enough to play
    door games, actually use a BBS terminal that supports CP437.

    There's also some bugfixes.. I forget what.

    This is probably tha last release from my last little spurt. I'm not sure
    what else to add at this stage, and touch wood there are no more
    bugs..

    While I saw the 0.35 release, I just wanna say... thanks APAM.

    I enjoy a few different products you've created for BBSing - Talisman being one of them... while MY implementation of it has fallen behind, I'm really appreciative of it. Some sysOps are creating AWESOME experiences on Talisman. I hope the mods and extras keep coming out; thats been pumping me up as of late. I'm trying to make sure to include them in my APAM file area.

    It would be hard for any BBS enthusiast to NOT enjoy multiple of your additions to this community. You, sir, are a BBS legend.

    I like the bbs package, but I need to find a new tosser to use atm. It hangs on me.
