I am noticing after I toss the packet files are still in the temporary directories and the packets are still in c:\bbs\ftn\in_sec, is this
normal?
No. It sounds like it's crashing.. is the pid file in the datapid file is sometimes, there, but i think when things are cleaned up it
directory?
Andrew
I've started getting "Segmentation fault" error's with postie when it
tosses packets.
I have saved four of them for you to look at.
What's the best way to get them to you?

I can't seam to find it in my message base, so here is a link to it:

Postie leaves the pid file behind, and the only log info is that it's started, and the console returns with "segment fault".

I checked first and second packet and they look fine as far as I can
tell.
My guess is it's something to do with reply linking, because at first glance it seems ratsoft puts dodgy reply ids (7 hex chars, the 8th char
is missing) and my guess is it's triggering a bug in postie.
I've commited a fix, I don't know if it will fix the issue or not.
