    What is an Enigma?

    1. The Enigma machine is an encryption device developed and used in the early- to mid-20th century to protect commercial, diplomatic and military communication. It was employed extensively by Nazi Germany during World War II,
in all branches of the German military.

    2. Something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained.

    3. A popular German band from the 90s that has released some very boring new-agey electronic music.

Great explanation Oli! Thanks for the education. I do see number 4 as

Node.js (and thus ENiG) has native Windows support. I've never run it under WSL
myself, so I'm glad you did and and that it works! :X

Yeah, I am still trying to wrap my head around the ideal dev environment in Windows. My work computer is a Mac and my daily driver is a Windows machine.
I suppose I should start learning about Windows IDEs and things of that
nature instead of insisting on doing things strictly the unix way...I don't think there's any clever way to hook a Windows IDE up to WSL to do node
    stuff. :/

Visual Studio Code can do remote development from Windows <> Linux using Node.js, so I imagine you can do something like that with WSL. IIRC it uses remote SSH mounts. ...though, if you're going to run Windows, just run Windows.
Node (and ENiG) also run on OS X, so you could always go that route.

Ironically, my family prefers Linux Mint. They are by no means technical.
They are your basic n00b sort of folks. However, they got so frustrated with Windows that they told me "replace this with something better, or I'm
throwing this computer out the literal window!" <G>

I guess the combination of frustration and desperation can open minds to
things that they might not have otherwise been open to prior. Linux Mint
being easy for Windows users to adapt to, absolutely was helpful.

Though Linux is a bit lacking when it comes to supporting main stream games
and such, they are all more into "game systems" for their gaming fix, so all
    is well on that front.
