  • Large BBS Font in Console

    Hello All,

    recently I spend a lot of time in multi-user mode in console. What troubled
    me was my HD monitor and achievement of 80x25. This should be patched since last year's november:

    I'm adding this to advantages of Linux.
    Nice patch.

    What I would like to achieve is to set the font larger than 32x32. That would make the trick on Linux. I tried to turn off the check in setfont.c from kbd. However when I call ioctl (KDFONTOP, PIO_FONTX, PIO_FONT) none of it works.
    The KDFONTOP crashes. The second needs some certain font size and PIO_FONT breaks the screen when the font isn't in (I guess) 8x16. So when I created
    font 32x64 it's the first step but some modification both to setfont and probably ioctl has to be done. Not sure about this. But I'd like to
    experiment some more.
