    Maybe it could be kind of cool. i'm looking forward to the picard one tho really for some more Next Gen era goodness.

    I'm more interested as to how they will tie it into the end of TNG. If memory serves me, Picard ended 25 years into the future retired and running his families vineyard. Will the series be set during those 25 years?

    They are using cannon from prime universe the kelvin timeline stuff never happend so all that romulan stuff is cannon Its in startrek online and STO is considred cannon

    I've a huge TNG fan, enjoyed it more than TOS (that's not to say I didn't
    like TOS). They provided some great episodes and carried on the legacy many years later.

    I have a feeling that Picard will wave the flag for TNG fans everywhere.

    I figured that Pike and Number One wouldn't be back. but If Discovery follows the old Star Trek timeline, Spoke should have returned to Enterprise with Pike..?

    I have a feeling that he will as he wasn't flung into the future but he has signed up for another season so we might see him from time to time back in
    the present (time travel can be confusing, lol).

    I don't think we actually know exactly how long into the future that was. Geordi and Picard did say it had been something like 25 years since they served
    together, but we don't know for sure how much longer they had served together after TNG ended. The final TNG movie (Nemesis) came out in 2002, which was 8 years after TNG ended, and for all we know they could have kept serving together for a while after that.

    I'm not sure; Discovery supposedly started about 10 years before TOS, and I'm not sure it would make much sense if they did a storyline far in the future. We know Captain Pike's eventual fate, so it would be good to see more of him.

    How do you know Spock won't be back? At the end of season 2, Spock had shaved his beard, looking more like the clean-shaven Spock we know from other Star Trek series.
