Re: old timed event?

Been working on cleaning up some old settings. One of them is a timed event named MAIN that calls event.bat. I use it for my door game maint but it has the following sync maintenance lines that I feel can be removed now? Just want to make sure before messing with message base maintenance.
----------
rem ********************
MESSAGE BASE MAINTENANCE
rem ** *****************
cd \sbbs\exec
smbutil mp1000 \sbbs\data\subs\*.shd
if weekday== blah blah
----------
Synchronet comes stock with a pre-configured "MSGMAINT" timed event which does the same thing:
Internal Code MSGMAINT
Start-up Directory ../data/subs
Command Line %!smbutil%. mp1000 *.shd
Enabled Yes
Execution Node 1
Execution Months Any
Execution Days of Month Any
Execution Days of Week Sun
Execution Time 05:00
Requires Exclusive Execution Yes
Force Users Off-line For Event Yes
Native Executable/Script Yes
Use Shell or New Context Yes
Background Execution No
Always Run After Init/Re-init No
Error Log Level Error
