I've been relaying all my outgoing internet email through mail.synchro.net for a couple years. It's been working great up until just recently.
I received the following auto reply after a user tried to retrieve his login info:
cvs.synchro.net reporting delivery failure of message
from Codefenix to [email_address_redacted]
Reason:
gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com replied with:
"550 5.7.26 information. f18-20020a170902ce9200b0017a0e8713cesi11471436plg.452 - gsmtp"
instead of the expected reply:
"250 ..."
After that I sent a test email from my BBS to my gmail account and got another nearly identical auto reply.
Is the "cvs.synchro.net" in the auto-reply a hint that this might have something to do with the recent synchro.net changes?
Thanks for the head's up. Problem was with my outbound IP address on that box not matching the requirements of the *.synchro.net SPF records. Now fixed.
