  • Slow door ansi menus

    I find the ANSI menus for some of the DOS games like OOII and BRE appear very slowly on the screen. Is there anyway to improve this? (Running linux with dosemu). Thanks!

    Is it just the menus, or does the game itself run sluggish also?

    if the game is also running choopy or sluggish also, it may be the way you have the fossil set up in the game settings, I know I've run into that here. Read the documentation on the game, and see if you can adjust the fossil. If you don't have the fossil turned on in the game settings, try turning it on.

    Are you using a terminal that emulated speed, (at syncterm check ALT+up
    / ALT+down and you can se the emulates speed at status bar
    I think that another terminals (magiterm/netrunner/etc) have this
    feature too.

    It's Ctrl-up and Ctrl-down. Alt-arrow changes the window size.

    Also, this is now the dumbest and fun thing I'll be doing today. How the hell did I ever survive at 2400, much less 300?
