I'm in the process of getting registered with FidoNet again via my
local hub. A challenge is that I can't locate a BACKBONE.NA for the
Echos anywhere.

this is the last one that was distributed before the last liason left this realm for the next... there is work being done to get a newer one out but do not wait on it before doing what you need to do...

there have only been five new areas added since the above was distributed... we (TINW) are looking at what other cleanup may be done before the new one is packed for distribution...

Thanks so much for this. Happy to say that it has been imported fine.
Still need to 'pursue' my local Hub for connection here in the UK. No email address (okay, fine) but can't BinkIt across as I get an invalid password -- tricky to get the password right before making contact to get it set-up... :-/
Feels good to be playing with all of this again though!

You're using a /9999 (temporary) address? If so, then you should not have password configured for the link to your hub (yet).
Just clear any/all passwords in your sbbsecho.ini until you get an address assigned to you.

This worked beautifully. Thanks for the advice. I was confused as other Hubs To Be were working OK with configured temporary passwords. Lesson learned!
As a quick follow-up, how do I get my tag (EXTRICAT) to appear in the From lines? I see it for some users here, but seemingly missing for me.

Is this echolist not official or complete? http://www.filegate.net/pub/echolist/ELST2111.ZIP
