I am attempting to move my system to a remotely hosted machine running Windows 2012r2. When I try to load sbbs I get an error that it is missing vcruntime140.dll and to try reinstaling it. I can't get it to load.

Did you install the prereq's shown here? https://wiki.synchro.net/install:win

Yes. I did it again and selected the repair option. Still doesn't work.
Should I try to just
go with a typical Windows O/S instead of a server edition?

Since it is a hosted server, I got a tech support person to make it work for me. Now MY
work begins. Recreating what exists on one server to add to the other. I thought about
just copying the /data file over, but I will take the time to ensure it works correctly by
doing it manually.

You installed *both* Microsoft Visual C++ redist packages? And for x86 (not x640?

Shouldn't make a difference.

The only thing I can't do is to get binkP option to show up in the Timed Events I allow incoming and outgoing traffic on port 24554 and binkP is enabled

How'd we get there from data migration?
Anyway, by "binkP" option, are you referring to the BinkIt module? Did you install it per the instructions? https://wiki.synchro.net/module:binkit#install

I added binkpoll and binkout comand strings to the timed events section. I didn't copy
the old stuff over since I had already put a lot of time into setting it up on the new
server. I'm receiving Dove Net fine. I think my boss node put me on hold since I told
him to pause the feed until I got back to him.

DigitalMan is asking you questions to try and help you fix things, but
you don't answer the questions and instead spout off some irrelevant
stuff. Not a good way to get help and get things fixed. Pretty soon
folks will stop bothering to try. Just FYI...

Its all up and running perfectly now. I took his advice. I
zipped up the entire site, then unzipped it on the new site.
Voila!
