I don't mean to be a pain, but I'm stumped.
I have my machine set up with the DYNDNS address of gatofueg.synchro.net, which translates perfectly (nslookup works).
I can't get ssh or web to connect using that address.
The only thing I could think of is the firewall.
Running Windows Defender. I added sbbs.exe to the firewall allowed any port/and address, but that hasn't made any difference.
Any suggestions?
Your router/gateway to the Internet, is it configured to forward those ports to your BBS's system private IP address? Or do you have the BBS system's IP address configured as your DMZ?Good suggestion, thank you. Will check it out.

Now just to get the ISP to allow me access to my own router.
A lot of internet providers will block services for home users. If you have the option, you could try your own router. I picked up a used Netgear router that I use on my FiOS connection. I installed openwrt on it and haven't looked back.

Might be easier to just use a small VPS.Maybe. Or to just get hosting from Marisa (as I've done ... thanks Marisa)
