ive updated my bbs so I have the 3.11 version of sbbsecho. Im trying to get the tickfix.js setup.
I thought I had it right but one of my nodes sent a %help to filefix as a test and never got a response.
Can someone help me with the robots section of echocfg please?\
if you installed it properly via jsexec, the robot section will automatically be added... you only need the one and people would netmail "filefix" on your system to talk to it...I got it working now. The only thing they noticed was %list sent them a list of all the file areas instead of just the one net that I'm the hub on.

Couldn't you also feed them those areas if you/they wanted? Its not a problem. I could if everyone got approval from the higher ups in the networks.
There could possibly be some keys in tickit.ini to eliminate or reduce access to so specific areas, but I don't know if anyone really needs that yet.

sounds like you have all of your file areas listed instead of just your distributed ones... but remember, too, that tickit and tickfix do not
have library permissions security like sbbsecho does with message
areas... that will hopefully come, soon-ish...
That was something I was curious about -- whether tickfix would be
able to request passthrough areas from my uplink.

AFAIK, tickfix does not forward requests for unknown areas upstream... but i've not looked at the code, either...
