Hi AllEchocfg)
I've been trying to set up Fidonet for a week and I am starting to get really frustrated.
When running Binkout my events feed is saying:
BINKOUT Attempting callout for 6:633/280@fidonet, file ../fido/outbound .. etc BINKOUT JSBinkP/1.112 callout to 6:633/280@fidonet started
BINKOUT Connecting to f280.n633.z6.binkp.net:24554
BINKOUT Connection to f280.n633.z6.binkp.net:24554 failed.
I don't understand this for a number of reasons.
My Fidonet node has been set by the NC at 3:633/416 (So I don't know why it is coming up as callout to 6:633/280 when it is set as 3:633/280 in
The hub address to go out to is 3:633/280 and I am assuming the domain is Fidonet
The port is definitely 24554, I've checked that
The hub IP is 103.39.238.13 (the address is ftn633.vk3heg.net)
I've followed the youtube tutorial to get Fidonet working to the letter, and
i've played with Echocfg endlessly.the
Can someone just tell me what all my Echocfg fields should read based on
above addresses and info?

You apparently have files for that zone 6 address in your
fido/outbound. It doesn't necessarily have to be your hub.

Okay. But for whatever reason you have some outbound files (likely mail packets) for that 6:633/280 address.

I pickup fidonet from Vorlon, so it sounds like you have something
amiss.
