I'm running WSEB v4.52 under VMWare.Esxi?

Ah, okay. Some of our r24 nodes running vmware esxi. I do not like this idea, because I have not a (however called 'proper') operatingsystem underneath.I'm running WSEB v4.52 under VMWare.
Esxi? That was my plan, and it still is. When the old motherbord died, I had
to quickly decide what to do. I had a spare mobo, but it was also so
old that I decided to go virtual.. So this system is running in vmware workstation now until I have time and hardware to put it in esxi.
Thanks a lot for the information. What sort of nic-driver do you use with vm-ware workstation? The old intel-nic driver? The installation is very old, it

:)
How did you 'converted' wseb?I simply took out the harddisk, put it into usb docking station and converted it to .vmdk disk image. Not much to do after, just to
replace the network drivers. Pretty painless operation.

<fg> Just take a look at FreeBSD. Snapshots are widely used and very common.Ah, okay. Some of our r24 nodes running vmware esxi. I do notI like the idea of snapshotting. :)

Nice! Thanks a lot. I'll try it.Thanks a lot for the information. What sort of nic-driver do youOld "ibm pci ethernet adapter". That one got autodetected and I had no reason to try any other ones. Yet. :)

My plan is, to have freebsd as operatingsystem and vmware workstation
for virtualization. For this I need a much better board and cpu than
now. My ecomstation 2.1 runs on an gigabyte j1900 low energy board. With also very low (cpu) power....

Nice! :)
I am having a 'simple' problem. I can't figure out how to get OUT of full-screen mode. it says press the 'host-f' button (alt or cntrl-f) and I still can't get out of full screen mode. Can't find any settings to do it before booting....

Crtl-Alt-Enter in vmware workstation, but if you're using
virtualbox... I don't have virtualbox around. ;(
This may be a dirty word around these here parts, but I prefer working with 'windows' rather than full screen. ;)
If you're going to install MacOS on a PC host you will need some tricks.Congrats! It took me a while to get it up and running withIt's my first time using VirtualBox 6, it's awesome! I'm gonna

Don't forget to make a few snapshots to roll back easy, just in case :)I have it running on my home mac, most of the time I use it onlyNice! I wanna play around with a few OS/2 BBS programs just for the
for FleetStreet and nostalgia.
