Thanks to the New BBS documentary, Back To the BBS Ep2, I
discovered that there is nodelisted sysop that happens to be a
Grammy Award winning singer songerwriter producer musician.
Shooter Jennings.
Shooter is also a door author. It seems he has many talents.
I used to live in Vancouver.. 20 years ago and one of my
favorite things about Vancouver is the buskers. This is one
of my favorite buskers out of Vancouver. These days I
listen at a bit of a distance..

I checked that out. It's ok. For me, if I was out on the
street, I wouldn't stick around for the whole thing (especially
if I have to be somewhere). The Santana pieces have a nice
groove - but they can tend to sound the same after a while. Most
of the Santana pieces that I like are the ones with vocals -
they add some interest and variety to the basic signature sound.
But why would you listen at a distance? I thought the guy with
the briefcase was funny (afraid to get closer? ..and maybe drop
in a few coins?.. ..or maybe he already did that.) ..but the
real reason he was standing around for so long was eventually
revealed. ;)
I'm a Santana fan so maybe that is why it caught my eye. :)
I have never seen him sing, I don't think that is what he
does.
The first time I saw that guy he was doing some ZZ Top, I
am also a ZZ Top fan so there ya go.. :)
I really like the Santana pieces that have vocals.
One of my favorite bands is
Skywalk. I think there is one vocal piece on their last album but that's it, the rest was just music without any vocals.
Cueing them up right now. There is also a "Sky Walk" band (two words).
But Skywalk is a sort of modern jazz fusion?
