There are DG stores all over out here in the country. They're in places that a big box store would never locate
On my trip around the country in '19 I saw them all over the place, like mushrooms after a rain.
I often stopped there to pick up odds and ends I needed. And any Aldi
for milk and bread.
(I had a cooler for milk, lunch meat, etc for sandwiches I made rather
than spend money in a restaurant.)
For general daily items Aldi is best for food.
Yep. Plus it's clean, quiet, and friendly. Just don't forget your
quarter.
I have a large tote bag, fits in my bike's dorky front basket, I put my items in as I shop. When its full its time to stop shopping. :)
Right now, I can't do a lot of comparison shopping as my dad drives me around. Once I can get Social Security and a car, I'll shop around yet again. I miss being independent.
I am very independent. The only time I rely on others for transportation
is the bus company. :)
If I can't get there via walking, my bike or the bus I probably don't
need it. :)
There have been times I've rented a car for a day or two for very large items.
