Slackware 15 is getting there, after an absurdly long wait.
Apparently there are some issues getting Firefox and Thunderbird
to work with the Rust compiler, but at least there is a clear plan
this time.
I suggest we all go celebrate right now, with bourbon and hookers!

Hi people!
Slackware 15 is getting there, after an absurdly long wait.
From the changelong: "I'm not quite ready to call this beta yet,
but you can call it 15.0-alpha 1."
Apparently there are some issues getting Firefox and Thunderbird
to work with the Rust compiler, but at least there is a clear
plan this time.
Therefore:
I suggest we all go celebrate right now, with bourbon and
hookers!

Good to know that I am not the only one but still not good that it is happening at
all. Hm ... what is the clear plan?
Sounds good, but maybe a bit early. I suspect it will be several more months yet, before an actual release of 15.0.
I'll predict May 20th.
The clear plan is to fix the Firefox+Thunderbird+Rust issue
