Ok, now a strange issue, with all the "good" readers (Sylpheed and PAN)
when I answer to a post in this group I get the TO: field empty.
Now I posted in a R33 test area a message with golded and answered with
pan, no problem and the TO: field is correctly filled.
I don't know why. :(
When you answer to a post here with Sylpheed do you put the TO: field in
the first row of the message or all goes right simply answering?
I was wondering that also.. Because I have no problems answering.

Ok, I noticed that another difference is that smapinttpd in the repliesin thie

So Is it possibile that someone in the middle between me and you is altering in some way the messages in JAMNNTPD ECHO so smapinntpd can't correctly reply these messages?

I checked your configs, only one thing: The msgbase type should be
defined just before path, but maybe smapinntpd has jam default if type
is not defined.
Yes, that seems to be the case. I removed the "!" from one jam area and everything still works. :)
Let's see if the problem is the one that i suspected.

Yes it's in the docs, if no type is specified the default type is JAM. :)

NO LUCK! :(

Now I'm lost! :(
Do you use the "areasbbs2jamnntpd.pl" tool to create the areas in your groups file? Or, do you create your own errors? :) Can HPT output
an areas.bbs file that you could use the tool with?
Yes HPT can create areas.bbs but the output of fidoconfig2jamnntpd.pl
is fine and I have troubles only in this echo, in other echoes like fidotest all works fine. :(

can do it with GoldEd and a temporary (copy to/from) area...

Try '-noreplyaddr' in your configuration file.

I'm not happy with it. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
All things considered I would hunt for a better solution. The newer JamNNTPd versions cannot be trusted. Nor can attempting 64bit compilations. Heck, even the original basic SMAPI version cannot be
either, as warned by Johan in his documentation; it was a test version
of itself.
I would still be content with 32bit compiles operating in a vBox VM.
They haven't failed me yet.
