Does the 4096 limit apply to the quoted part when quoting (replying to) aTgM message?
I would assume that is total character count. Coming to Telegram. The"quote"in Telegram is actually a link back to the original message.
Yes.. 4096 is the max *to* Telegram. But I've noticed that when we replyto a message inside Telegram, most of the original message is quoted on its way back. I will do a little test.
I would say if you write a 4100 character message inside of Telegram, itwould likely split when you send it, much like long SMS messages have usually done. I don't necessarily see it mattering much on the to Fido side, besides it likely already being split before it gets to that point by Telegram itself. I going to post a close-to 4100 char message from the fido side. Hopefully it will not split. But even if it does, I'm going to reply from TgM on the largest part and see what TgM and gate does with it.
