The DT version seems to allow text+pic in the same post. I would assume that the full app for the phone does too. I am convinced to install the app now and disable the security overreach into my contacts/files/photos, later.

Allows me to format it how I want.
When you do a R)eply with Telegram X does it show you the full
"quoted" message so that you could cut out the paragraphs that
you don't want?

The web version has its convenience, but it appears that the
best way to go is with one of the apps for sure - even if only
for posting a text+pic so as not to annoy fellow ftn-users
with a post that only bears a link.
