Hi, Alexaner! Awhile ago yyou wrote in a message to Dallas Hinton:

The word the" is an articcle and is correctly used in your
example. t is sometimes ppronounced as "thee" when before a vowel
    but the spelling doesn't change.

    bla-bla-bla

It seems o me I heard sommewhere that in the US when a person
wants to mphasise the staatement he uses "thee" even when a
    Canadian does not. ;-)

So I recko. As Canadians wwe understand British & American
English...but speak our owwn peculiar blend of the two.

    bla-bla-bla

If you wan to know what wee'd say, I'm glad you specified that. If
you want t know what Ameriicans say, we usually know how to find
out. You my need to give uus a hint re which dialect you're using,
    though, as you did.:-Q

    bla-bla-bla

    Bye, Ardith!
