    Hey hey!

    Just sending out a test message to verify things are working accross the board.
    Just migrated the Decker's Heaven HUB from a Vultr VPS instance to an Amazon AWS instance, for speed, more RAM, more local to the rest of my stuff, and flipped the switch this afternoon. :)

    Thanks for a quick confirmation Ernest! Heh, it's like the HUB never went down at this rate, thanks to my methods of migration. :)

    As for AWS, I went with a t3a.small instance. Gives 2 CPUs, 2GB RAM, and is EBS
    Optimized, so it's incredibly fast. Heck, I might even move my BBS system itself there with the same specs, since it would free up some of my home server
    resources but we'll see on that one. I kinda like having a BBS in-house, while the HUB server is remote... But, I do have to do some silly things to get around SMTP limits in doing so.

    Either way, the t3a.small, on-demand is around $7~8/mo, but with a 3-year reservation, it goes down to about $4/mo, and that includes backup storage estimates.

    I moved my mystic board to a t2.micro, it's not really doing much, since I moved to synchronet (running locally.)

    I'm thinking of trying a t3a.nano to see how things run in that. Might be small, but really... how much cpu/ram is really needed for mystic and/or synchronet?

    Should be fixed now.
    For some odd reason the current AWS Marketplace CentOS 7.6 doesn't enable IPv6 router-adverts. It gets the IPv6 IP just fine, but doesn't accept ra's to actually add the route table.

    Manually fixed with a sysctl entry and it's now consistently working. :)

    Not a whole fricken lot, really. Main reason I went with the t3a.micro is the 2GB RAM, because my Vultr instance only had 512MB RAM, but LOTS of storage space (120GB I think?), just that doing `yum upgrade` got killed several times trying to upgrade the OS, because OOM-Killer kicked in. LOL

    If you run doors on your BBS, specifically DOS-based does with DOSEMU, having 1GB is kinda a minimum for the emulation layer to work reliably enough. 2GB is great because I run Web, PHP, mailer, and now I can also virus scan incoming files which before I could not.
