Fascinating. Here we have a self appointed spokesperson for
*everyone*, claiming that they all are thinking the same as he.
How's that for being a megalomaniac? Just asking...
And is being replaced by Sweden's version of Donald Trump.
LOL! As a US citizen you are excused for not understanding how a multi-party
system works.
Yes, our hobby-nazis gained a few more percent than at the last election, but rest assured, with just 20% of the votes they will *not* be given any influence over the Swedish politics.
We managed to keep them at bay for four years, when they had 17.5%.

No more room for immigrants anywhere in Europe.

You'll have to stay then where you are, nowhere to flee ... of course, there's always Mexico...

It is proper in a halfway decent functioning political system that when one
loses an election, on concedes defeat and as a result finishes the term and
only handles current affairs before the newly to-be-formed government is ready.
In a democracy it is not common to reject the outcome of such an election and use every means, legal and illegal, including storming government buildings to hold on to power ... you know what and whom I'm talking about.
Her resignation effectively ends her term. The nationalist party,
which received the most votes, is now forming a coalition ...
Yesterday, European Union lawmakers from 26 countries declared
that Hungary is no longer a democracy, calling it "a hybrid regime
of electoral autocracy" under the leadership of its nationalistic government.
Spain's nationalist party (Vox) now holds a share of power, the
first time any far-right party has held power since the days of
Francisco Franco, winning over a third of the vote in February.
We are talking here countries which have mostly always had a strong ruler without a mechanism for participation by the populace.
When that ruler goes away the people can not deal with it and a new ruler will raise its head.
This exactly is the case in Hungary ...
as it is the case in Belarus,
Russia and most of the other countries participating in that conference now
in the Middle East.
That represents some 3 milliard people not enjoying the luxury and comfort of a participatory democracy, close to half the world population.

If you don't understand the system, one shouldn't comment about it.
Please read carefully what you wrote "...is now forming a coalition"
there arde two things wrong with the claim ...
1/ they are trying to form a coaltion, it isn't there yet
2/ Should the term indeed effectively have ended and the coalition noy yet in place, that would leave the country without government ...
so i don't think she is gone immediately as that would imply also all the ministers and their staff.

Yes, it is called "Stating the obvious". Everybody knows this, it has been going on for years on end...
Poland is heading in that direction as well ...
Magdalena Andersson quit. She is no longer prime minister, and
is at home baking cookies or whatever she likes to do as she no
longer has any official duties.

The nationalist party,
which received the most votes, is now forming a coalition that will
rule Sweden for possibly decades, if not forever.
Winston Churchill once said "democracy is the least bad form
of government." He was right.
Sorry Lee, you are once again wrong. Our prime minister will now lead
a transitional government until a new government is in place.
Our "lame duck" periods will seldom last more than a couple of weeks.
Jimmie Akesson and The Nationalists, "Make Sweden Safe Again"

LOL! Well, I for one wouldn't mind. A one year moratorium on any new
or changed laws would be a good start. After all our Riksdag makes around 1000 of those a year, and surely our existing law book cannot be in such
a bad shape?
There are some countries where in such a case the government and a lot
of essential servives close down, but if I dare to identify such a
country I will be villified.
But ... they are growing ... and soon they will be ... a *majority*.
And then ... the minority (everybody else) ... will have no choice ...
but to listen ... and do ... as they say!
