Association (NRA) really sponsor such a program, along with the
gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson?

Some clowns believe anything and everything promoters of the NRA
tell them. However, such fallacious claims should never be taken
as gospel truth, and always questioned for what they truly are -

There are many other false claims made about guns and who those
guns were designed for. Such as false claims that military rifles
were made for civilians to use as hunting rifles. But most folks
know better than to believe such nonsense. Especially those who
actually served in the US military.
