Hello Everybody,
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute.
One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by
injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the
lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be
interesting to check that. So, that, you're going to have to use
medical doctors with. But it sounds -- it sounds interesting to me."
~ Donald J. Trump, 4/23/2020
The president has come under a lot of criticism due to his remarks
at yesterday's campaign event at the White House.
The White House's initial spin on Friday about his disinfectant
claim remarks did not say the president was being sarcastic. It
only alleged that the media had taken him out of context.
Well, glory be. I posted the president's exact words for all
to read. If the White House wants to challenge that text, have
at it.
On Friday, Donald Trump was asked about the comments during
a bill signing. And this is what he told the reporters -
"I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you
just to see what would happen." ~Donald J. Trump, 4/24/2020
There you go. Another giant lie by Donald J. Trump himself.
Then he continued his lie by claiming he was talking about
disinfectants that can safely be rubbed on people's hands.
Then he returned to the sarcasm explanation, claiming it was
"a very sarcastic question to the reporters in the room about
disinfectant on the inside."
Talk about compounding a lie by telling more lies.
Just keep piling them on until the stack gets so high
that nobody can keep count.
One of the reporters in the room then got the bright idea
to ask the president if he had asked his medical experts to
look into it. Well, a patholigical liar has to keep doing
what he is is best at, as Trump himself responded by saying
"No, no, no, no -- to look into whether or not sun and
disinfectant on the hands, but whether or not sun can help
us."
So much for the "sarcastic" excuse ...
How about we take a look at the facts. Just the facts.
Maybe that will help explain a few things.
* Donald Trump was not being "sarcastic" on Thursday.
He meant every word he said. He is the one who raised
the issue of injecting disinfectant. Nobody else.
* At no time during his campaign event on Thursday did
Trump indicate he was anything but serious.
* Donald Trump lied on Friday when he denied having
asked medical experts to "check" the idea of disinfectant
injections, as he was looking at them at the time.
* Donald Trump made no mention of hands at any time
during his campaign event on Thursday.
On Friday he finally decided to at least try to walk it
all back by making yet another fallacious claim -
"It wouldn't be through injection. We're talking about
through almost a cleaning, sterilization of an area.
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't work. But it certainly
has a big effect if it's on a stationary object."
~ Donald J. Trump, Liar-In-Chief, 4/24/2020
He still offerd no indication that he had been anything
less than serious.
What a joke we have as president.
If only it was not so dangerous.
