Hello All!
I am looking for a few examples of Moderators sending in MOD-UPD or MOD-ADD submissions via email and netmail.
In addition to sending in one or more files via your mailer (without any netmail message) you can also send such files as files attached to a netmail direct to 2:25/21 or 2:250/1.
Do NOT send routed unless your uplink does send direct, as you have your password in side!!!!!
So, looking at trying a netmail that only contains one submission but don't forget all of the required keywords but also use the msg subj again for MOD-UPD
etc as my system has to route it to the correct system and application.
Now for an experiment send a similar MOD-UPD to me at a temp. address of
vbcoen@gmail.com.
This can be in one of two ways and I would like examples of both and it can handle doing duplicate updates of the same echo:
1. Send in the submission as a file attachment.
2. Send in the submission in the body of the message BUT with nothing else,
such as hello, goodbye etc.
As these message formats will not be manually processed once everything works.
If this works I will start up the email addess for this purpose of :
elistmaint@dykegrove.plus.com
BUT NOT YET.
As there is a lot of testing to be done as well as trying to understand postfix, mail and mailx. Who the hell writes their documentation ?
