Hello Janis!

Hi Vince,
According to your robot, my submission of the update for FILE_MOVERS
had an error as noted below:
EL230 Errors found in MOD submission, see messages:
EL233 Error GROUP not specified.
Now, the listing _does_ have the GROUP keyword included:
file: FILE_MOVERS.ECO
//
SUBJ MOD-UPD

Should I re-send the file ? Is the elist program getting ornery? :)
Nope it is a valid rejection as far as I can see and here is what you ACTUALLY sent :
SUBJ MOD-UPD

So, No GROUP keyword ! (I have not checked for any other errors but will assume
that as none is reported that is the only one).
Now looking at the listings in BACKBONE.RPT, which I hope you have the current copy of (from the monthly archive file ELST2401.ZIP from file area ECHOLIST, I see :
--
TAGname: FILE_MOVERS Group: FIDO
{Backbone}
TITLe: File Echo Distribution
Lang: ENGLISH
DESCription:
The File_Movers echo provides a place where file distribution coordinators
and HUBs can discuss distribution concerns, problems and solutions.

Note the date it was updated. This shows that the echo expired a long time
ago and has been moved over to the BACKBONE so you would not have been able to update it as far as I remember as you are no longer the moderator as elistmaint
has taken it over as happens with all expired echo's.
The same will apply to any other echo that have expired for which a moderator has not updated and the system auto assumes that they have dropped it for what ever reason and it is preserved into the backbone unless deleted because of zero traffic over 12 months and for that I must admit I have been lax in not going over them to compare with my system records of any postings.
It is somewhat time consuming and the space consumed in the data files is small
for such echos but there is no doubt a lot of dead wood (no traffic).
